The Floriade is held once every ten years and will take place from April 5 to October 7 2012 in Venlo. In the coming months, a number of tap stations will be located on several spots. The Hogeschool of Amsterdam ordered 20 tap stations and the municipality of Utrecht ordered 5 for the parks in the city of Utrecht. There will also be a tap station in Haren (Groningen), Utrechtsestraat and the Rembrandplein (Amsterdam).

Hypebazaar opened two stores in Nijmegen and Eindhoven with a Jointhepipe.org tap station.

Spijkerpoepen (nail pooping) is an old Dutch game. The idea is that the player gets a string around his or her waist with a nail attached; the goal is to poop the nail in the bottle. During Queens Day in Amsterdam the bottles used were jointhepipe.org bottles! This is a good example that there are numerous ways to raise attention for water and sanitation problems in the world.

The two boys have decided that they will take care of maintenance of the TEDx tap, just like jointhepipe.org does for the TEDx water pump in Bangladesh. Happy to see the youth follow a good example! When you are taking a walk through the beautiful city of Amsterdam, it is quite likely you will run into one of these drinking fountains. Did you know that they flood water 24/7 for 8 months a year?! Building up a waste of 350.000 liters water each year! But hey at least our Prince brushes his teeth with the tap closed....

After an exciting contest with 20 day winners Ray Meur from Breda has won the jointhepipe.org water tap station! The tap will be placed in the Valkenburg Park with help from the alderman, who we meanwhile would like to thank! According to Ray, Valkenburg gathers loads of thirsty visitors during the summer and therefore must have a tap station. As you may know (or not) with every tap station placed, a water pump in Bangladesh is also realized!
